why have a whole arm when you can have a giant shield to bash people with?
Might be sensitive for some - But why the hell is she black? Both of 'er parents were white or she's a bastard, or am I having a trip? Not trolling, its legitimate question. Personally I got both of my parents white and I'm not black, so how does that work? Even my golden retriever parents are goldens and somehow he's not brown blablador.
I really REALLY like how this is handled. As a disabled person myself (autism), a lot of non-disabled people want to find cures or solutions for disabled people so they can "become normal" again. But for many of us, our disability is part of our identity, of how we view ourselves, and we don't want a cure, we want understanding and acceptance of our situation. I really, REALLY hope that Blizzard won't end this storyline with Faerin getting her arm back. It's clear that Faerin considers her disability as a core part of her identity regardless of how much impact it has.
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me. I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the Blessed Machine. Your kind cling to your flesh, as though it will not decay and fail you. One day the crude biomass you call the temple will wither, and you will beg my kind to save you. But I am already saved, for the Machine is immortal… Even in death I serve the Omnissiah. Lets hope there is a small easter egg for this :D
Why they have to give her the most basic haircut tho
ooo I like this- it confirms one of my thoughts about her specific young age- stowaway on the Arathi fleet. Kind of a shame she didn't lose the arm and eye to nerubians, but I suppose this way lets her be more competent with the shield by giving her more time with it, and by not making the nerubians at fault the faint possibility of peace between the Arathi and the good nerubians is slightly higher.
So the shield is just....floating? The armor is great but the shield looks unattached and kinda ridiculous, interesting concept but doesn't seem well executed.
Faerin Lothar says: Raen, I've learned to navigate my life without a prosthetic. I don't want to relearn everything. "- i dont want to learn new rotation >:(
Surely if mechagnomes can make mechanical limbs, priests can restore lost limbs/eyes using holy magic?... Warcraft lore makes no sense
The whole armor is amazing it's on the same level of Tularyon on legion, aleria on legion/TWW and the harbinger It's so good that I would love to do a 1 man instance type like mage tower to get this as reward
This looks really dumb and impractical. Not even just in a "oh its a fantasy game why worry about the lady having a shield arm XD" way. It's just impractical even from a basic physics standpoint.
Pretty silly to reject recovering a whole arm because it'd be "difficult to get used to it" like cmon.
